Easy Gluten Free Apple Crumble Pie

and this version is satisfying, perfectly sweet, low in natural sugar, refined sugar free, gluten free, and soooo delicious! I hope you guys love this recipe as much as I do!

Easy Gluten Free Apple Crumble Pie

Delicious and clean version of apple pie made with simple, real ingredients and a delicious crumble topping.

Ingredients

Crust:

  • 1 c garbanzo bean flour
  • 1/2 c almond flour
  • 1/4 c cold filtered water
  • 6 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp sea salt

Filling:

  • 2 large honeycrisp apples
  • 1/4 c maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp almond flour
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Topping:

  • 3/4 c gluten-free oats
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 F

  2. Add all crust ingredients into a food processor and mix well until a crumbly dough forms. 

  3. Line a pie dish with unbleached parchment paper and press crust into it. 

  4. Poke dough with a fork all over, about 10 times. Bake the crust alone for 10 minutes. 

  5. Make the filling by peeling and thinly slicing the apples. For this, I like to use my mandolin/spiralizer attachment on my kitchen aid stand mixer. 

  6. Whisk the filling ingredients together in bowl and add the prepped apples in. Mix well. 

  7. In a small bowl, mix together all the topping ingredients. 

  8. After 10 minutes, remove crust from oven and pour apple filling onto it. Take the topping and sprinkle evenly over filling. Return to oven and bake for 40 more minutes until golden brown on top. 

  9. Cool completely and store in oven.
