Welcome to the last donut recipe you will ever need…
Okay, maybe not because donuts are amazing and can be made so many different ways. BUT, this recipe is hands down the BEST apple cider donut you will ever have. And I am not just saying that. It’s the best donut I have ever tasted on every level! While they were baking, the aroma filled my entire house and even that was heavenly and totally worth baking them!
In this recipe, I use applesauce and I quickly whipped up my own by peeling, steaming and then blending a large honeycrisp apple! You can use store bought but I think this make the flavor EXTRA delicious!

Apple Cider Vinegar
The tastiest donut recipe there is! It's safe to say these are LIFE CHANGING with the incredible flavor, and the perfect fluffy, moist, thick consistency. There are two topping options but these are also amazing completely plain on their own!
- 1 c almond flour
- 1/4 c tapioca flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/3 c apple sauce*
- 1/3 c maple syrup
- 1/4 c Wedderspoon ACV + honey*
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp coconut oil, melted
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1/4 c tahini or favorite nut butter
Cinnamon sugar topping option:
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/3 c coconut sugar
Preheat oven to 350 F
In a stand mixer, add all wet ingredients and mix well.
Slowly add in dry ingredients and mix well again. The batter should be smooth and a sticky consistency and thick enough to be scooped and not very pour-able.
Scoop batter into lightly oiled donut pans.
Bake for 25 minutes and let cool completely before removing from pans.
While cooling mix together either the glaze or the sugar topping (or both!!).
Dip cooled donuts in toppings you chose!
*I quickly made my own applesauce with one honey crisp apple by peeling, steaming and blending it!
*You can sub this for plain apple cider vinegar and about 1 tsp of raw honey!
