I have been baking since I was in 5th grade, and I remember always making a homemade caramel sauce with condensed milk and pour it over apples for my younger brothers. This is NOT that caramel sauce… mostly because it’s actually delicious and actually healthy! If you are having any sort of gathering this fall. this recipe is a must! It’s only 2 ingredients. Literally the EASIEST caramel sauce- completely refined sugar free and only TWO ingredients!
- 10 dates pitted
- almost boiling, HOT water
- 1 pinch sea salt
Pour hot water over dates in a bowl. Soak for at least ten minutes.
Drain soaked dates and add to your blender or food processor.
Add a pinch of sea salt.
Blend until smooth and creamy.
