7 GOAL SETTING TIPS ANYONE CAN DO

So many of us set goals once a year, and do our best to remember them throughout the year. But often times, we forget them, or we get busy and move on. Whatever it is, goal setting often times doesn’t pan out for everyone. It takes a lot of accountability and planning to set and reach goals.

Last year, I started setting intentions every single month. I would create a plan for each one and remind myself everyday of those intentions. I also started listening to a lot of podcasts on goal setting, and got really intrigued by what all of these crazy successful people had to say about it (I have my husband to thank for that!). I loved all of their ideas and tips, but I still feel like I need help with creating structure for doing things like making SMART goals. Its easy to do it on your own on a sheet of paper, but I wanted something more in depth. My husband keeps a small notebook that’s sole purpose is tracking his goals and aspirations. Genius idea. I used my Passion Planner in a similar way and liked using that, but it was always hard to squeeze extra stuff in there like manifestation and intentions that I set every month and daily.

Then I heard about GOAL JOURNALS and decided to give them a shot, because, well, I love trying out new tools to that help keep me intention and mindful AF. Forget about the notebooks and planners- you NEED this in your life if you want to crush your goals without feeling overwhelmed by them.

Here is a little look into my goal journal. This is just a tiny glimpse because it has so much to offer! More than I ever would have thought to write down on my own.

I love how detailed this journal is. There is space for life assessments, life vision (which even has a space for self care… AMAZING). There are tools and tips for setting goals, and encouraging quotes. There is so much good stuff in there to keep you organized and on top of your goals. I feel like with this journal, we will be unstoppable when it comes to achieving our goals. As soon as I saw it in person, I told my husband we had to get him one too… and everyone we know! Also, did I mention they are eco friendly? I AM OBSESSING.

Okay, so now that you now how much I am loving my planner, I want to share a few tips with you to help you achieve your goals!

7 simple tips to achieve your goals

  1. use SMART goal setting (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time bound)
  2. share your goals with at least one other person- this helps you stay accountable
  3. check in with yourself every day- what have you done to take steps toward your goal(s) that day?
  4. create a plan that is doable for YOU. What works for you may not work for everyone else, and that is okay!
  5. create a deadline for different goals throughout the year. It’s a lot easier to stay motivated when you get small wins all throughout the year, rather than waiting for everything at the end of the year.
  6. GET A GOAL JOURNAL  and use it every day! Make it a habit!
  7. manifest! I do this every morning and it really gives you a great mind set and keeps you focused.

I love that I can replace my other planners and journals with this one goal journal, because it has space for everything I journal about currently. I feel like this is a great tool to keep my focused, intentional, mindful… and even a great place to do my daily manifestation!
