My bestie!

Cal loves his God mother! We do too!

My babies and their God mother!

I will be posting this cake recipe soon!!!

The perfect theme for our little Gruffalo was obviously a wild rumpus! I was so happy to have found some AMAZING companies on Etsy to help fill that vision. The crown is from mosey, and it is such high quality material, I wish so badly Cal would have left it on the whole time! He has never had anything other than a beanie on his head, so he was curious what it was, haha! But it is ridiculously cute, and I recommend all of her beautiful products.

I loved that Oh Wow! Design sent me an entire PDF package full of the most incredible and unique printables. The game the kids played was so cute and simple, perfect for toddlers. I loved the little coloring books. They made fore a great activity between treats! They have a ton of great designs for all occasions, and I would check them out if I were you 😉

I loved all these brands that I worked with, and would HIGHLY recommend them for anything they offer! Idalina, from WIth Love and Ink was great to work with and has created the most adorable stamped bags and napkins that you could find some for any theme or occasion. The cups are from All About Glitz and Glam, and I loooovveee that they were all different! They are adorable. Her shop offers soooo many cute items for birthday parties!!

I thought of having a build your own trail mix bar only a couple weeks before his birthday, and quickly fell in love with the idea. It was a hit, and perfect for all the little kids! I loved that I could have a bunch of healthy treats to offer, and everyone loved it. The “I’ll Eat You Up I Love You So” banner is my favorite! I actually save it to be used in Cal’s new room even. I just could not part with it! Smile Before Opening has SOOO many cute things and even custom orders you can choose! Highly recommend!

Throwing parties is SUPER stressful, but so much fun! I love making my kids birthdays as special as I can. Thank you to all these amazing brands for helping me make that possible with your incredible talent! Next time you are planning an event, PLEASE check these out! I spent such a long time looking through everything on Etsy to find the best prices, highest quality, and the best people to work with!

3 ripe bananas

1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

1/4 cup coconut oil

1 egg

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 cup flour

1 tablespoon vanilla

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 teaspoon Molasses

I love minimal baking, so I toss all the ingredients in my mixer and let it go! Bake at 350 for 25-35 minutes.

It’s healthy and delicious! I top it with some coconut cream.

It’s our little gruffalo boy’s birthday today! He had a great day filled with fun, treats, and presents. Most importantly though, he got all the foods he loves! Haha! This boy could not have cared any less about his presents today because F O O D! 😂

Even though we have known for a long time that we were not going to have another baby, I think it’s really just starting to set in for me that we won’t have any babies again. Our kids are toddlers now! It seems so crazy. I know our kids will be little for a long time, but it’s starting to feel like a new season for our family. We are out of the baby stages.

Mixed emotions, mamas. I know so many of you can relate. But just look at that handsome face! Allllll the heart eyes. Now I have 5 million things to do before his party this weekend, along with the things we have to do before we move. In less than 3 weeks. Pray for me, you guys, ha I am going to need it!

A few months ago, I was reading a blog that was sharing a “30 before I’m 30” bucket list, and I fell in love with the idea. I decided that I would give this a try on my next birthday, and here we are! I am 25 today!  Instead of doing “26 things before I am 26,” I am going with “25 things while I am 25.” Because I am a slacker. Okay here we go!

1. Start therapy for postpartum depression and anxiety.

2. Spend more quality time with my husband.

3. Practice mindfulness each day.

4. Make a brow video.

5. Finish my novel I have been writing.

6. Get out of my comfort zone.

7. Get back into shape.

8. Do more yoga and meditation.

9. Spend more quality time with my kids, individually.

10. Get more organized.

11. Minimalize more.

12. Read at least one new book.

13. Write a letter to myself to read in 5 years.

14. Go on a girls day with my BFF.

15. Take up a hobby with my hubby.

16. Take a family trip.

17. Visit somewhere we have never been.

18. Go on at least 5 family hikes.

19. Revisit dancing.

20. Make/bake 25 new (clean and vegan) foods.

21. Visit a state park.

22. Eat 5 new foods.

23. Take an online class. (Enrolled in Michelle Money’s course right now!!!)

24. Try at least 10 new activities with my kids.

25. Say something positive and kind about myself each day this year.

I challenge all of you to do this your next birthday. But share this with me now: what would one of yours be?

“Your mind will always believe everything you tell it. Feed it faith. Feed it truth. Feed it with love.”

Good morning beauties! Being mindful can seem really difficult and overwhelming. So today I wanted to share  three easy tips with you guys that will make mindfulness a simple, everyday thing. These are all things I do to try to keep myself as present as possible. It’s still something I’m working on, too!

  1. Put your phone away. How often are your present while scrolling through social media? Never. Obviously, we are all going to be on our phones sometimes (that’s why I’ve chosen to follow people who uplift me and never give me the feeling of being “less than.”) but we need to break away sometimes. Forget about your phone for a few hours and give your kids your full attention, or yourself your full attention. You will be surprised to see how much of a difference forgetting about your phone will make in how present and aware you are!
  2. Send your useless thoughts away. This is something my sweet mother in law is always reminding me to do, and something I personally need to get better  at doing. Each time you have a useless thought (worrying about the future, stressing about the past, or anything negative in general) imagine sending the thought away in a bubble. I think that the biggest part of mindfulness is not to no longer have those thoughts, because we all are, but to recognize when they are happening and let them go as quickly as you can. This is something that will take a ton of practice, but it is so easy to try!
  3. Breathe through your stressful moments. Being stressed is so useless, am I right? Yet, it plagues so many of us, myself included. As you guys know, postpartum anxiety is something I am still struggling with, but this can be used for any stressful moments in anyone’s life! Anytime you are finding yourself lost in your head stressing about things you have no control over, stop and breathe. Try doing the previous tip, and just breathe through it until you feel a little better. This is something we have always done with our kids, and Amelia is really great at it. Anytime she is feeling overwhelmed, or upset, she stops and breathes deeply, then says she feels better! Wise little lady, that one! She is also always reminding those around her to breathe whenever she can sence they are not okay (even baby brother, which is just about the sweetest thing!).

These are all useful, simple things to try everyday, any day, at any time you feel they are needed. In my opinion, the biggest thing is to train yourself to recognize when you are NOT being present, and do your best to move on. It’s not easy, and it takes practice, but we are all in this together, and no one is expecting us to be perfect in any way!

Let me know if you try any of these today, and what you thought about your experience. You can comment here, or contact me on my Instagram!

Happy 2017! Last year was a really hard one for me, personally, but it also taught me a lot. I really want to make this year about healing and enjoying my life completely.

Essential oils are something we have used for a long time. They are always a go-to in our house, so it was an obvious choice to use them in my postpartum anxiety and depression recovery. However, I know that all moms could use help with stress on an everyday level. Raising little humans is not always so easy.

These oil roller blends are for stress relief and joy. I apply the joy over my heart twice a day, and use the stress relief ALL DAY LONG on my wrists and neck. Not only do they actually help drastically with my anxiety, they smell so heavenly. Even Amelia loves to use them! My favorite time to apply is always  before yoga or exercise, before errands, etc.

If you are a parent, or struggling with anxiety, you need to get these rollers from my  friend Clair right away! I can honestly say that they have helped me more than I thought possible for something so simple.

If you use EO’s to help your anxiety, depression, etc. please share your experience with me in the comments or you can email me at naturallychelsblog@gmail.com

You can also always reach out to me if you need someone to talk to, because I love you all!
